AsiaDescriptionThe Asia section of the park houses two similar but distinct themed areas - the province of Anandapur, and the mountain village of Serka Zong. According to the backstory, Anandapur was formally the home of the Maharajah, but is now a democratic enclave. The ruins of the Maharajah's palatial estate is now the home to local wildlife. Serka Zong was a station along the railway that once transported tea to and from Anandapur, and now also boasts a mountain expedition outfit. HistoryAsia did not open until 2000, unless you count Flights of Wonder, which is really between Asia and Africa. Review
Asia has all of the layered detail of Africa, and with the addition of Expedition Everest is a good draw. However, with this E-ticket attraction being so far away from the village of Anandapur, the land seems a little disjointed. A very good Disney job of decorating, but it is sometimes hard to piece together the varied stories (Flights of Wonder, Kali River Rapids/Maharajah Jungle Trek, and Expedition Everest).
