Animal Kingdom Sets Attendance Record in 2008
4/16/09
According to the 2008 TEA/ERA Theme Park Attendance Report, published jointly
by the Themed Entertainment
Association and Economic
Resources Associates, Disney's Animal Kingdom® set an attendance record
for 2008, attracting 9,540,000 visitors last year, up 0.5% from 2007.
The Animal Kingdom still came in behind Disney's Hollywood Studios, and in fact
the gap widened, due no doubt to the opening of Toy Story Midway Mania. This
will keep the folks over at Studios
Central happy. The gap between the two parks, which admittedly is based on
multiple data sources and not direct from Disney, is 68,000 visitors per year.
That's only 200 per day, so tell all your friends to go to the Animal Kingdom
just one additional time during their next stay!
